Tuesday Hues - Coco Chanel's hotel suite

The hues of this week are gold and yellow, black and white, pale blue, pastels, dark brown and burgundy...

Coco #Chanel lived at #theRitz from 1934 until her death in 1971, even during the occupation in WWII, though in a smaller room. She was photographed in her apartment many times even for her first perfume advertisement.
Her flagship shop was only steps away from her #hotelsuite.

Coco was photographed many times in this iconic white chair. The octagonal shape of the mirror on the wall was the inspiration for the cap of CHANEL No.5. It is also the same shape of the iconic Place Vendome, which Coco could see out of her window of her residence at the Ritz Hotel.
