The dress code was as strict as last year ‒no mini skirts and bare shoulders‒ so this 5-day-long "fashion" festival is a great opportunity to collect inspiration for your elegant and classic outfits.
Here is a collection of my favourites from day one.
First, let's take a look at the Royal Family:
The Queen and the Countess of Wessex both wore pale blue outfits on day one. Her Majesty's suit was a Stewart Parvin design and her hat was made by Rachel Trevor Morgan.
Princess Eugenie opted in a beige outfit and Nerida Fraiman hat while her sister, Princess Beatrice chose a teal lace Suzannah dress and teamed it with a hat by milliner Sara Cant.
Zara and Mike Tindall both wore black and white outfits on day one at Royal Ascot while the Viscountess Linley chose a stunning floral print coat. I specially love that she matched the coat with colorful heels and lovely white floral hat.
OK, and now here are a couple of colorful ensembles.
I saw many bright colors ‒best for Spring and Winter seasonal color women‒ and some pastel colors as well.
Floral or botanical hats were really popular as well as classic and simply elegant ones.
