Which red shade is the best for Spring women?

In the past few days everywhere I see I find articles about the upcoming Valentine's Day with red or sexy dresses. So I've got the idea to create posts about which red shade the best for each seasonal color palettes of course, with pretty #outfittips

I know some women don't like wearing red because they feel that this bright shade is to bold and doesn't fit their personalities. Even if you agree with this statement I still encourage you to use red as an accent or an accessory to add the color of love to your ensemble.... especially on Valentine's Day.

You can mute the effect of the energizing red color by adding neutral colors to your outfit. Or you can emphasize your confidence creating bold color-blocking or exciting monochrome sets.

  1. I've never been able to figure out whether I'm a warm or a clear Spring. I'm freckled, bright blue eyes and golden brown hair. Very very pale skin - I'm always the palest colour foundation available in any range.

Don't think I could ever go blonde - blonde hair would look horrific on me as it would look too weak for my colouring. I look okay but not great in black, but excellent on chocolate brown. Silver jewellery makes me look dead.

Of all the colours above, I *couldn't* wear the light spring apple red or strawberry red (both too pale / wishy-washy), the coral would be great. I could wear the wild poppy red you've listed for the warm Spring, but not the other two (same again - too wishy-washy, not strong enough). Of the reds listed for Clear Spring, I could wear the true red and scarlet, but the carmine red would be too pink.

So...ideas? Or am I something else altogether?

    1. Hello Leanne,

thank you so much for reading my blog :)

First of all, colors can look different in each devices...

About your colors: sounds interesting because red color can easily shows someone's seasonal palette. Because you wrote you look better in brighter shades you could be a Clear Spring. Clear Springs can have various hair colors from golden blonde through warm red to medium golden brown.

I suggest asking a friend to help you and try on these colors and see which is better for you:
Clear Spring: true red, sun yellow, hot pink, fresh green
Warm Spring: coral, mustard yellow, salmon pink, light olive green
You can also check the Warm Autumn seasonal palette with colors like rusty red, gold, burnt orange, military green.
You can try lipstick shades too:
Clear Spring: warm red, warm brighter pink
      Warm Spring: coral, lighter orange
Warm Autumn: rich deeper red, orange

I hope these info will help.
